The glass-fiber-reinforced paper backing ensures very high tensile strength, making the tape the ideal solution for all packaging applications where a secure, stable seal is absolutely essential. Its very strong adhesion and tack on a wide variety of cardboard grades make tesa® 60013 particularly suitable for sealing heavy cartons weighing up to 25 kg. Thanks to its excellent adhesion and very aggressive tack, a tamper-evident effect occurs when the tape is removed, making unauthorized opening visible. tesa® 60013 is designed for use in manual and automatic dispensers; it unrolls quietly and easily, thereby supporting efficient, ergonomic packaging processes—all without any solvents in the adhesive.

Key Features

Product: tesa® 60013 – self-adhesive, reinforced paper tape

Backing: glass-fiber-reinforced paper backing with a silicone release coating

Adhesive: solvent-free synthetic rubber

Color: chamois

Dimensions: 25 m x 50 mm

Packaging weight: suitable for heavy cartons weighing up to 25 kg

Tamper-evident feature: visible tamper-evident effect when removed from the carton

High adhesion and very high tack on many types of cardboard

High tensile strength: tear strength 125 N/cm

Elongation at break: 6%

Thickness: 210 µm

Adhesive strength on steel: 12 N/cm

Suitable for manual and automatic dispensers (automatic application: yes)

Solvent-free, unrolls quietly and easily

Can be torn by hand: no—for precise, clean cuts with a dispenser

Printability: no

Applications

Sealing heavy cartons weighing up to 25 kg in shipping and warehousing

Packaging applications with heightened security requirements (security seals)

Tamper-evident packaging where tampering must be visible

Automatic carton sealing systems and manual packaging stations

Industry, logistics, e-commerce, wholesale, and retail

Summary

tesa® 60013 reinforced paper tape offers maximum security when sealing heavy cartons thanks to its glass-fiber-reinforced paper backing, very strong adhesive strength, and tamper-evident effect—ideal for professional packaging processes using both manual and automatic dispensers.

For more information, please refer to the data sheets
