This fabric tape allows you to quickly and reliably mask off all areas that need to be protected during plastering work. The tape tears off very easily by hand, making it particularly easy and flexible to use on the job site. The extra-strong natural rubber adhesive ensures high adhesion, even on rough surfaces. The fabric plastering tape is UV-resistant for up to 10 days and can generally be removed without leaving any residue within this period. This makes it ideal for simple exterior painting and plastering jobs where reliable surface protection and a clean finish are paramount.

Key Features

Facade masking tape for easy and reliable protection of exterior surfaces

UV resistance for up to 10 days; can generally be removed without leaving residue within this period

Extra-high adhesive strength, even on rough surfaces

Very easy to tear by hand—can be easily torn off by hand

Backing material: Fabric

Adhesive: Natural rubber

Thickness: 260 µm

Elongation at break: 20%

Tensile strength: 55 N/cm

Mesh: 55 count per square inch

Adhesive strength on steel: 5 N/cm

Suitable for rough surfaces: good

Roll dimensions: 25 m x 50 mm

Color: blue

Available sizes: 25 m x 30 mm, 25 m x 50 mm

Applications

Masking facade components during plastering work

Protecting exterior surfaces during painting and renovation work

Covering exterior window and door frames

Temporary securing and marking on rough surfaces

General covering and protective work in the construction and trades sectors

Summary

The tesa® Basic 4398 Plaster Tape, a robust facade tape featuring high adhesive strength, 10-day UV resistance, and excellent tearability by hand, offers a reliable solution for professional exterior plastering and painting projects.
