The specially developed adhesive on the open side offers very high initial tack and, at the same time, allows for nearly residue-free removal for up to 14 days on almost all substrates, except natural and artificial stone (in which case an individual test is absolutely necessary before use). Thanks to its good resistance to moisture and chemicals, its excellent tack, and its short-term temperature resistance up to 80 °C, tesafix® 4939 is ideal for temporary installations at trade shows, exhibitions, conventions, and during renovation work.

Key Features

Double-sided installation tape with a strong PET fabric backing

Adhesive: Synthetic rubber with differentiated adhesive strengths (strong on the carpet, weaker on the substrate)

Removes with virtually no residue for up to 14 days on most surfaces (exception: natural and artificial stone—test beforehand!)

Type of backing: release paper; color of backing: brown

Tape color: white, white-translucent

Dimensions: 25 m x 50 mm

Thickness: 235 µm

Backing material: fabric

Elongation at break: 25%; Tensile strength: 38 N/cm

Static shear strength at 70 °C: moderate; at 40 °C: good

Moisture resistance: good; chemical resistance: good

Fogging: very good; initial tack: very good

Temperature resistance (short-term): 80 °C; (long-term): 40 °C

UV resistance: moderate

Adhesion to PE (initial): 2.5 N/cm; after 14 days: 2 N/cm

Adhesion to PE (covered side, initial): 4.5 N/cm; after 14 days: 5 N/cm

Adhesion to PP (initial): 4.5 N/cm; after 14 days: 2.5 N/cm

Adhesion to PP (covered side, initial): 6.5 N/cm; after 14 days: 5 N/cm

Adhesion strength on steel (initial): 7.5 N/cm; after 14 days: 5.5 N/cm

Adhesive strength on steel (covered side, initial): 9 N/cm; after 14 days: 8 N/cm

Ideal for temporary use at trade shows, exhibitions, conventions, and during renovation work

Applications

Temporary carpet installation at trade shows and exhibitions

Floor covering installation at conferences and events
 <lizeitweise befestigung von teppichen und l w sanierungs- renovierungsarbeiten>
Suitable for use on many indoor surfaces (except natural and artificial stone—test first)
</lizeitweise>

Summary

tesafix® 4939 offers a professional, secure, and yet easily removable solution for temporary carpet installation.
