Areas of application
Skin disinfection before surgical interventions, catheterization, blood and liquor withdrawals, injections, punctures, excisions, cannulas, biopsies, etc., for seam supply, to support general hygienic measures in the context of the prevention of skin mushroom diseases. The drug components 2-propanol, 1-propanol and biphenyl-2-ol act against bacteria (including mycobacteria), fungi and many viruses. The effectiveness of kodan® tincture forte colored against viruses includes enveloped viruses* (classification "limited virucid").
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity compared to the drug -effective components or one of the other components.
Side effects
Skin irritations such as reddening, burning and drought can occur particularly with frequent use. In rare cases, contact allergic reactions are possible. If you find out other than the side effects described here, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.
Warnings
For external application. Do not bring in contact with open flames or switched on electrical heating sources. Let Kodan® Tincture dry for the forte before creating associations. Only start at the thermal assembly when the dyed disinfected skin areas are dried with Kodan® tincture. With accidental eye contact with Kodan® tincture forte, rinse with lots of water for several minutes when the eyelid gap is open. Due to the high alcohol content, Kodan® Tincture Forte should not be used in premature babies and newborns with unripe skin (e.g. restricted barrier function of the skin). *Tested against test virus BVDV (surrogate viruses for hepatitis-C virus) and vaccinia virus. According to the current state of knowledge, the results allow the conclusions to be drawn about the effectiveness against other envied viruses, e.g. hepatitis B virus, HI virus.
