Description
The CLEARTEST light Troponin I rapid test is an innovative, chromatographic immunoassay specifically developed for professional in vitro diagnostics. It is intended for the qualitative detection of human cardiac troponin I (cTnI) in whole blood, serum, or plasma, thereby supporting the rapid diagnosis of a myocardial infarction (MI). The limit of detection is only 0.5 ng/mL. Troponin I is a highly specific protein of the heart muscle that is released into the blood as early as 4 to 6 hours after the onset of chest pain and remains detectable for up to 10 days. Thanks to its high specificity, the test is particularly suitable for identifying myocardial damage under various clinical conditions, such as after surgery, in cases of heart disease, or following trauma. The simple procedure is based on a combination of anti-cTnI antibody-coated particles and a capture reagent to ensure a rapid and accurate result.
