Description

The heel is one of the most challenging areas for wound care: it is highly arched, constantly under pressure, and a classic site for pressure ulcers. Cutimed Siltec Heel 3D is anatomically pre-shaped for this purpose—making application quick and easy, without wrinkles or gaps.

The Cutimed Siltec special shapes are tailored to highly contoured, hard-to-treat areas of the body and combine the benefits of the highly absorbent silicone foam dressing. The extra-thick 7-mm foam cushions the wound and helps relieve pressure, which is at least as important for the heel as absorbing exudate. The dressing can be trimmed to size; additional securing is required.

Indications

• Low- to moderately exuding wounds
• Chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and pressure ulcers
• Secondary-healing wounds, such as postoperative wound healing disorders and skin grafts
• Dressing changes up to 7 days, depending on wound condition and exudate

Summary

On the heel, the padding plays a key role in the healing process. 7 mm of anatomically shaped foam is more effective there than a flat pad that must first be cut to size.
