Description

The HydroClean® wound dressing offers an advanced solution for the treatment of dry, lightly, and moderately exuding wounds, particularly in patients with impaired wound healing. This innovative wound dressing is specifically designed for use during the cleansing and granulation phases of chronic and hard-to-heal wounds. HydroClean® contains a superabsorbent polyacrylate (SAP) embedded in cellulose and pulp fibers and activated with Ringer’s solution. The wound dressing continuously releases Ringer’s solution for up to three days while simultaneously absorbing wound exudate, resulting in interactive and continuous wound irrigation. The SAP in HydroClean® inactivates matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) that interfere with wound healing, thereby reactivating the healing process in chronic wounds.
