Description

HydroClean® cavity is the ideal solution for treating dry, lightly, and moderately exuding wounds, particularly those with impaired healing potential. This innovative wound dressing is ideal for chronic and hard-to-heal wounds during the cleansing and granulation phases. The key component of HydroClean® is a superabsorbent polyacrylate (SAP) embedded in cellulose and pulp fibers and activated with Ringer’s solution. The wound dressing releases Ringer’s solution to the wound for up to three days while simultaneously absorbing wound exudate, thereby enabling interactive and continuous wound irrigation. The SAP used inactivates matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) that interfere with wound healing, which can reactivate a stagnant healing process in chronic wounds.
