Tesa® 4657, gray, 50 m x 15 mm
tesa® 4657 is a high-quality, acrylate-coated fabric tape for demanding, temporary, and permanent masking and fastening applications, particularly in automotive and industrial manufacturing.
Description
tesa® 4657 is a highly durable, acrylate-coated fabric tape on a cotton fabric backing with a fabric density of 145 threads/inch² and a heat-curing natural rubber adhesive. It offers a high tensile strength of 105 N/cm, excellent puncture resistance, and reliable adhesion of 4.6 N/cm on virtually all substrates—even at high temperatures up to 180 °C (30 min). The tape is water-resistant, colorfast, solvent-resistant, and abrasion-resistant, making it ideal for permanent indoor and outdoor applications. Thanks to its excellent tearability by hand, straight tear edge, and good writability, it is particularly easy to work with. tesa® 4657 is ideal for the production of die-cut parts and is primarily used in the automotive industry for temporary and permanent masking of holes, as well as in industrial painting processes. The standard version is PV0; variants with low unrolling (PV1) and on a yellow glassine paper liner (PV9, 76 µm) are also available.
